Sherman Rennich

So Mad Mick Rennich and I are playing golf at Coal Creek this summer--kind of a last minute deal--and we have to quit after nine holes. Why? Not because of injury or family commitment or professional commitment. Mick Rennich, the baddest ass of all, has to quit after nine holes because he has to walk Sherman. As in dog. This dog. The Shermanator. Here's what all the fuss is about. Meet Sherman. I did, and he bit me. --HANSON

Rennich Finally Got A Birdie

Mick had a tough year golfing, so he decided to see if he could get a birdie some other way. Heavily armed, three of the four WHS golfers journeyed to Pierre, South Dakota. Rennich and Rinerson bagged lots of birdies up there. Hanson drove the Sag Wagon and provided moral support.

New Game--Sixes are Wild.

Brother Rinerson brought some new ideas to the game this year--The portable putting green for that golfer whose short game could use a little work was awarded this year. Also Rinerson brought Sixes Are Wild. Everybody has to use a six iron on hole Number Six, tee to green.

This year's level of play being what it was, the scores were remarkably the same with the six iron as with the drivers off the tee. Next time, maybe we should play the six iron throughout the round.

A couple of nice additions to the game this year.

Next Fall, we're hoping that some of the Slackers from the Class of 1970 might be able to join us.
